Article 16 of the consolidated value-added-tax decree, on a page updated 23 May 2026, says the tax is set at 22 percent of the taxable amount. Value-added tax is the tax on most goods and services. Legislative decree 10 of 19 January 2026 carries the same ordinary rate into a new code that applies from 1 January 2027.
Income
The Labour Ministry note of 31 December 2025 on the 2026 budget law says the second personal-income-tax bracket, the slice between 28 and 50 thousand euros, falls from 35 percent to 33 percent. Personal income tax is the tax on a person’s income. The same note says the saving can reach 440 euros a year.
Benefits
The INPS news page of 22 December 2025 says the minimum pension for employees and the self-employed reaches a base of 611.85 euros a month from 1 January 2026, after a provisional increase of 1.4 percent. The same page points to circular 153 of 19 December 2025.
