Who builds Nation Runner
The desk is independent editorial work by Nils Kopp, not a party, ministry, or newsroom franchise. The live site is nationrunner.com. The source repository is github.com/nkopp-cmd/klartext, deployed as Cloudflare Pages project klartext.
A public mailbox is not listed yet. Write the desk through the contact form; it opens your own mail client. Reading the globe, country pages, cases, and the Germany desk does not require an account.
What you are looking at
Germany is the staffed depth: landscape, parties, promises, people, pulse, match, money, and a growth-king / work-war barometer with causal chains. Empty chrome on other countries is a placeholder, not a claim that those desks have been staffed.
Cases sit underneath the globe — rabbit holes, who benefits, the bit they hope you don't follow. Case files are editorial arguments, not findings of fact and not voting advice.

The Germany snapshot uses public reporting and official wires named on the desk: Tagesschau, Spiegel, ZEIT, Bundesregierung, and Bundestag RSS, plus Grok search of 20 politician accounts and 20 news desks on X. Each news item is tagged for topic, tone, and who the frame helps.
The Money tab uses disclosed Grosspenden (Bundestag notices over €35k), the federal lobby register (2024 spend bands), revolving-door jobs, and tallies from LobbyControl, DonationWatch, and Finanzwende. Access scores are editorial judgements of documented pipes — not a bribery verdict and not a forensic audit.
The King tab is an editorial growth vs work-war gauge with six axes and causal chains — not a court, not a Nobel, not a voting recommendation.
Update cadence
The live Germany snapshot on the desk is public reporting through 10 September 2026. That date is the editorial freeze written into the footer, not a claim that every later vote has been scored.
Cases are dated on the file (published, and updated when the file actually changes). New country desks land when they are staffed — empty tabs are the shape, not the substance.
We do not invent rankings, impressions, or traffic. Optional analytics (DataFast) load only after cookie consent, and only when a website id is configured for the deploy.
