A score on this desk is an editorial average of six work topics, times ten, with the method written on the row.
The room
500 seats · 251 to govern alone · National Regeneration Movement and Ecologist Green Party of Mexico and Labor Party 364
The deal
251 seats would be a majority of 500. Morena holds 254 on its own. With the Green Party (61) and the Labor Party (49) the governing bloc holds 364, above the two-thirds needed for constitutional amendments. The opposition PAN, PRI and Citizens' Movement hold 135 together.
The mood
The left bar is the vote share. The right bar is seats divided by 500. They are different counts.
The first point is the 2024 party-list vote for the Chamber of Deputies from the National Electoral Institute counts. The second is Mitofsky's household survey of 13–16 August 2026, 1,200 interviews. The third is Buendía & Márquez for El Universal, 20–26 August 2026, 1,000 interviews. The fourth is El Financiero's phone poll of 800 adults, 10–20 September 2026. The three polls print raw shares with the undecided still in the base: 19.4, 28 and 31 percent named no party. That is why they sum well below 100 and are not the same count as votes cast.
The trend
Public pollster blend — not a forecast
The split
The right bar is seats divided by 500. The left bar is the vote share. The electoral system means the two differ.
The mismatch
The seat bar is seats divided by 500. The other bar is the El Financiero poll of 10–20 September 2026.
The rude gauge
Who grows the pie, who picks a fight with work. Cabinet sits at 40 / 100. The number is an editorial reading, not an official index. Six topics are averaged and multiplied by ten: energy supply, hiring, keeping and investing money, building, hours in paid work, and paperwork. Ten means the public record makes that easier for work. Zero means it makes it harder. The band is a label for that average, not a court ruling.
